Independence (Charlotte, N.C.) wide receiver prospect Adrian Gamble committed to UVa last summer, before the beginning of his junior year. He admits he had second thoughts when former Virginia head coach Al Groh was dismissed, but new coach Mike London quickly solidified the speedy prospect’s decision. After Saturday’s visit, Gamble’s commitment got even stronger.
“I’m pretty solid with the commitment,” said the 6-3, 188-pound junior. “The more I go down there, the more solid I get.”
Gamble made an unofficial visit to N.C. State recently, saying “it really didn’t impress me as much as Virginia did. I went up with Nyjee [Fleming].”
At this point, he says future visits to other schools are unlikely.
