H.D. Woodson (Washington, D.C.) tight end/defensive end Darius Redman denied a report that indicated he would switch his commitment from UVa to Virginia Tech later this week. However, the 6-4, 240-pound senior is reconsidering the original commitment he gave to Virginia last spring.

“A lot of schools are coming at me,” Redman said. “I still am committed [to Virginia], though I haven’t made it official yet.”

Redman claims new scholarship offers from Marshall and Virginia Tech and strong interest from Illinois. He plans to take official visits this month before coming to a final decision on his college future.

“I’m going to visit Virginia Tech on the weekend of the 21st,” said Redman.
