Two-time Peninsula District Defensive Player of the Year Daquan Romero
Daquan Romero entered the 2010 season as the reigning Peninsula District Defensive Player of The Year. Game in and game out, the 6-1, 215-pound defensive end had the opposition’s attention, receiving double and triple teams on a consistent basis. It didn’t matter. The Phoebus (Hampton, VA) star would rack up 19 sacks in 15 games in 2010, helping the Phantoms capture a third straight state title.
