Last week’s column on the safeties probably did not leave most readers with warm and fuzzy feelings. This week’s column on the cornerbacks, however, is likely to elicit different emotions. Why? Because the unit has star power and, while it is not exactly clear how everything will line up in the end, there clearly is talent. With that in mind, let’s close out the Summer Reading series for 2011.
The Starter
Yes, there are going to be two starters at cornerback this year, but only one of those starters is clear: Chase Minnifield . That is because Minnifield has developed into a cornerback who would start for just about every program in the country.
