
The UVa men’s basketball program signed two point guards in the class of 2013. Devon Hall and London Perrantes will officially enroll in early June. Guard BJ Stith is Virginia’s lone rising high school senior commitment to date, leaving two scholarships available to use in the class of 2014. In this “Strategy Session,” I break down the projected 2014 season roster and look at which positions the staff may be targeting in 2014 class recruiting.

Scholarship Breakdown
I created the “combo guard” position for Brogdon because of his ability to play any of the perimeter positions. The 6’5″ rising red-shirt sophomore could be the answer at the point, but if one of the other point guards takes control he could play the two or the three.
Virginia should have good depth on the perimeter in the 2014/2015 season, but there is room for another wing forward, a position I see the staff addressing in the 2014 class. BJ Stith could grow into the role of small forward, but for now I see him as more of a two. More depth is needed in the low post as well.
