10 Questions For Bennett’s Hoos, Part II

The countdown clock is speeding toward zeroes as the UVa men’s basketball team opens its season Friday at JMU. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Wahoos everywhere are excited to get the new season underway with the reigning ACC Champions and with that excitement comes a lot of storylines.

I’ve posed 10 key questions for Tony Bennett’s Hoos to help tackle some of those themes. In Part I (click here), the questions were as follows:

  • Can the Wahoos benefit from increased offensive rebounding again?
  • Can the Hoos capture chemistry on the floor again?

In no particular order, these are five more key questions facing this edition of Virginia basketball.

5. Home sweet home?

Virginia’s record the last three seasons at the John Paul Jones Arena? 48-7. Read that again. 48-7. Is there any wonder season ticket sales have soared after the Hoos’ ACC Championship double dip last season? Over the past three years, UVa has posted 13-3, 20-2, and 15-2 records at the JPJ and that has played a huge role in the program’s three straight trips to the postseason. Home games helped the NIT run in 2012-13 as well.
