Mooresville High School (N.C.) was one of the first stops of the week for UVa defensive line coach Jappy Oliver, who is in hot pursuit of class of 2015 defensive end Chazmyn Turner.
“Virginia didn’t waste any time. On Monday [Oliver] was the first in the door,” Mooresville head coach Hal Capps said.
Oliver, who just completed his first season at Virginia, also made an in-home visit with Turner, who has since hosted coaches from Appalachian State and Purdue. Indiana has been represented at Mooresville as well this week.
Turner leaves today for Lafayette, Indiana, for an official visit to Purdue. According to Capps, the standout defensive lineman plans to make at least three officials before committing.
