Senior linebacker prospect Eric Gallon is set to make an official visit to the University of Virginia this weekend, just over one week after receiving a scholarship offer from Cavalier head coach Mike London.
“I know for a fact that when UVa offered he was really excited,” Lakeland Christian (Lakeland, FL) head coach Wayne Peace said. “He’s very excited about the trip. His whole family is driving up so they can see the school with him.”
Virginia assistant Mike Archer stopped by Lakeland Christian earlier this week to visit with Gallon, who is also considering Middle Tennessee State and Cincinnati. He visited MTSU last weekend and Cincinnati is “pushing him to come visit” according to Peace.
Lakeland Christian made it to the Class 3A state semifinals this past season, finishing with an 11-2 overall record. Gallon, in his first and final season with Lakeland Christian, was an important player for the Conquerors.
