Coveted class of 2016 offensive tackle Josh Ball is making the rounds in terms of college visits, recently taking trips to Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Virginia Tech. The Stafford High School (Fredericksburg, VA) star reflected on his most recent trip, which was to Blacksburg this past Saturday.
“We had went down for the game against UVa last season. I had a great time down there. I wanted to get back down to see it all,” said the 6’7″, 300-pound prospect. “I got to talk to the coaches a lot more. I had a blast. I got to see Coach Beamer and talk to all of the [coaches]. It was good getting to know them better. It was good to understand where they are coming from, what their morals are and everything.”
Before heading home, Ball met with head coach Frank Beamer. What was Coach Beamer’s message to the promising junior?
“He said I’m the offensive lineman they want for the 2016 class,” Ball said. “He was talking to me about that. I was getting to know him a little better.”
