Stafford (VA) offensive tackle Josh Ball, one of the most coveted rising seniors in the state of Virginia, revealed his top 15 schools in a tweet last week. The list, which Ball acknowledges could change, includes Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, Florida State, Maryland, Miami, Mississippi, NC State, Penn State, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
So what’s next for the 6’7”, 320-pound prospect? Ball detailed the steps he plans to take before making his college choice.
“I’m going to take a bunch of visits late into the summer, and then I’m going to cut it down to seven or eight,” he said. “I’m going to take officials to five out of the eight. I’ll cut the list to three and then commit somewhere between the middle and the end of the season.”
This Saturday, Ball plans to be in Tallahassee to visit Florida State. On the way to Tallahassee he plans to stop by the University of Alabama. Alabama has not offered and is currently not in the standout prospect’s top 15, but both of those things could change after Friday’s visit.
