Laderrien Wilson Turning In Another Successful Season

Laderrien Wilson has played on the varsity football level since he was a freshman. It was his sophomore season, though, when he took his game to another level. Ever since, the 5’10”, 208-pound running back has been a consistently productive performer for Osceola (Kissimmee, FL).

Wilson rushed 415 times for 3,071 yards and 42 touchdowns his sophomore and junior seasons combined. He has compiled 843 yards rushing and nine touchdowns through six games his senior season, including a 191-yard, 2-touchdown performance in a win over Ridge Community this week.

After reaching the 7A state championship game in 2014, the Kowboys are off to a 5-1 record (1-0 in its district) so far in 2015.

“He’s a different kind of back,” Osceola head coach Doug Nichols said. “He’s not a burner, but a lot of time when he breaks a run you don’t see defenders catching him. He has great balance and great vision to go along with the size. [Balance and vision] are his two biggest strengths.”
