Virginia’s triple overtime win over the Syracuse Orange was the closest thing to a complete team effort we’ve witnessed since the Notre Dame game. The defense struggled against Orange QB Eric Dungey’s running, special teams again fell prey to a trick play, and the offense was still inconsistent, but each unit did enough to win.
Both offense and defense were solid in the red zone as the offense went 5 for 5 and the defense delivered two huge stops deep in UVa territory that were key to the win.
