Western Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA) senior Osiris Crutchfield has emerged as a target of the University of Virginia football program, which currently has commitments from 26 prospects in the class of 2016, five of whom plan to enroll on Grounds in January of 2016.

Crutchfield, a 6’4”, 225-pound senior defensive end, received a scholarship offer from the Cavaliers early last week.

“I was pretty excited,” Crutchfield replied when asked for his initial response to the offer. “I could say it’s overwhelming.”

Crutchfield plays alongside Virginia defensive coordinator Jon Tenuta’s son, Luke, on the Western Albemarle defensive line, but it wasn’t until last week that the standout senior first heard from the Virginia staff regarding a possible offer.
