Basketball season begins today.

Now that you’re back from dancing around your kitchen or office with glee, let’s take one last look at the Virginia men’s basketball team as it enters a season with high expectations. Ranked No. 6 in the nation in the preseason polls, the Hoos are on a quest for three straight 30-win seasons and a run in the NCAA Tournament.

5. Is the post depth ready?

Virginia has two strong post options in Anthony Gill and Mike Tobey, who both received some sort of All-ACC recognition last season. Gill was third-team All-ACC and Tobey was the coaches’ ACC Sixth Man of the Year. But what about the depth behind that duo?
