St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, FL) rising senior Semar Melvin, who Rivals.com ranks as a 4-star prospect and the No. 37 cornerback in the nation in his class, was in Charlottesville June 7-9 on an official visit. With the 6’0”, 170-pound prospect aiming to make his college commitment on June 23, the trip was certainly an important one to the University of Virginia’s chances.
Melvin provided his thoughts on UVA in an interview with TheSabre.com via Twitter direct message.
“I loved UVA,” Melvin wrote. “It was a great visit. The campus is great, coaching staff is great, facilities, everything. It was definitely an eye-opener when I left there.”
