Grand Island Senior (Grand Island, NE) rising senior forward Isaac Traudt and his family have scheduled a jam-packed June that as of now includes three official visits and one unofficial. The University of Virginia secured one of the three officials from the skilled 6’9” prospect, who averaged 25 points and nine rebounds per game for his high school team this past season.
Asked why he wants to further explore UVA, the consensus 4-star said: “I want to get out there because I love their style of play. I love how the coach is big on faith. He sends guys like me to the NBA. I’m excited to get out there.”
Traudt, who was offered a scholarship by head coach Tony Bennett in January of this year, keeps in regular contact with the Virginia staff. He had a 20-minute Facetime call with Bennett this week. The Nebraska native estimates he speaks with Bennett and UVA Director of Recruiting Kyle Getter “probably once a week.”
Traudt’s official visit to Virginia is scheduled for the weekend of June 11-13. He will begin the month with an unofficial at Creighton on June 1 before heading to Nebraska for an official visit June 4-6. After Virginia, Traudt is scheduled to take an official to Michigan State June 17-19. An official to North Carolina is in the works too.
