Tipoff for Virginia basketball season is just hours away. The Cavaliers open with North Carolina Central at 9 p.m. on Monday night at the John Paul Jones Arena and then return at the same time Friday to take on Monmouth.

UVA finished last season year with 21 wins and 14 losses, including what turned out to be the finale in the NIT Quarterfinals. The schedule included a win at Cameron Indoor Stadium against Duke, but a road loss at JMU, a pair of games that captured the up-and-down nature of the year.

With the new season now here, hopes are high for less of a roller coaster ride but plenty of excitement nonetheless. Each season before the Hoos hit the hardwood, we tackle 10 preseason questions. So let’s go!
