The ACC released the conference’s final basketball schedules Tuesday night so Virginia learned how things look for its men’s and women’s hoops teams. Both squads have high hopes entering the 2023-2024 season after Tony Bennett got his team back into the NCAA Tournament last season and Amaka Agugua-Hamilton guided her team to its best record since 2018.

UVA opens the men’s basketball campaign on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. against Tarleton State, while the women’s regular season gets underway on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. against Maryland Eastern Shore. Both games will be held at the John Paul Jones Arena. Fans that want to see the teams in action before then can attend the Pepsi Blue-White Scrimmage on Saturday, Oct. 14 beginning at 1:30 p.m. The women’s team also has an exhibition with free admission against Pitt-Johnstown on Thursday, Nov. 2 at 6 p.m.

Now that the full schedules are out, here are some quick take-aways for the Virginia basketball seasons ahead.
