Fans already were plenty eager to see the Virginia basketball teams on the floor at the John Paul Jones Arena before Saturday’s Blue-White Scrimmages. Now that fans have seen the Hoos briefly in action, it’s safe to say that anticipation has only increased for the upcoming campaigns.

The UVA men’s team opens with Tarleton State on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. That game is at the JPJ and scheduled for ACC Network Extra. The women’s team face Maryland Eastern Shore in its opener on Wednesday, Nov. 8 at home. That game is also at 7 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.

Here are some thoughts about the first glimpse at the Virginia basketball teams this season.

Ryan Dunn … Yeah!

Based on some of the message board reactions and conversations, others maybe drew eyeballs their way more often Saturday, but I thought Ryan Dunn looked outstanding.
