Virginia Basketball Double Bonus: Florida

The Virginia basketball team jumped out to a 2-0 start in the first week of the season. Those two wins included a 73-70 victory in Charlotte as the Hoos topped Florida in the Hall of Fame Series. The Double Bonus returns for the first installment of the season to take a closer look at that game.

In terms of individual performances, Blake Buchanan, Reece Beekman, and Jake Groves made it into double figures for scoring. Buchanan led the way in his second career game with 18 points, which included 16 free throw attempts (he made 10-16), and 7 rebounds. Beekman added 13 points and 5 assists with only 1 turnover, while Groves knocked down 2 of 3 3-pointers on the way to 12 points. Other contributors for UVA were Isaac McKneely with 9 points and 6 rebounds, Ryan Dunn with 6 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 steals, Andrew Rohde with 7 points and 2 assists, and Dante Harris with 6 points and 2 assists. You maybe saw or read about a little late-game drama with Cory Alexander and a replay too.

The Double Bonus debuts this season with a focus on some key moments, some things to watch for as the season progresses, and more.
