Virginia extended its win streak against Duke to seven games with a 48-0 win Saturday. The 48-point difference was the Cavaliers’ biggest win over Duke since a 59-0 victory back in 1990 and the largest margin of victory in the Bronco Mendenhall era. Needless to say, with 48 points and zero allowed, the grades are the best of the season.
This is the third time in the last three seasons where Mendenhall’s UVA teams have posted a three-game winning streak against ACC opponents. A win this week over Georgia Tech would the first four-game streak since 2011. This year’s Hoos have also tied the 2019 team with four games scoring 39 points or more. One highly encouraging game note too, UVA won the turnover battle for the first time this season and the first time in eight games.
Overview

The offensive line had a superb day. The pocket was clean virtually all afternoon and the running backs, quarterbacks, and football players had ample running room.
