The Virginia football team opened with a home win, but followed it up with a road loss. The Hoos bring that 1-1 record back to Scott Stadium this weekend for an in-state battle with Old Dominion. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday on the ACC Network.
The two teams have only met once previously with UVA winning 28-17 in 2019 after falling behind 17-0 initially. The Cavaliers have won six of their last seven home games against non-conference competition with Notre Dame last season getting the only win at Scott Stadium.
Still, Virginia struggled at Illinois last week in a 24-3 loss and Old Dominion did already knock off fellow ACC team Virginia Tech this season. So the Hoos are expecting a tough challenge ahead of the game. Here’s what they’re saying before kickoff.
