Candidly, this is an extremely brutal grades report.

The Cavalier running game had its worst game of the season with a 43.42, a point lower than the Illinois game. Virginia’s passing game earned its second best grade of the season with a 75.93. After starting the season averaging an 87.6 in the grades, the Wahoo defense has given up 36 points per game and 425 yards of total offense in its last two outings. The D’s cumulative grade in the last three games is 69.86. The special teams operation recorded its best grade of the season and saw the placekicking and punt coverage operations post championship level grades at 97.60 and 92.75 respectively.

Finally, here’s a blow your mind stat: 10 of UVA’s 11 created turnovers have come in games the Hoos have lost.

With that, let’s look closer at the grades. (Earlier grades this season can be found here.)
