Virginia Football Game Preview: UVA Heads To Georgia Tech

After a much needed off week, Virginia football fans are desperate to see first-year coach Tony Elliott turn things around in the latter half of the season. Despite high hopes at the beginning of the year, the Cavaliers opened the year with a 2-4 record, going 0-3 in the ACC. Now, ahead of a Thursday night matchup with 3-3 Georgia Tech, there has never been a better time to get things back on track.

The challenge will be to get a win in Atlanta for the first time since 2008. The Hoos have yet to win a road game in 2022, while Yellow Jackets enter the contest off back-to-back wins. Let’s take a closer look.

After an explosive last season, Brennan Armstrong has just not looked the same in 2022. Last year, Armstrong finished the season with 4,449 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions with a 65.2% completion percentage.
