5 Preseason Questions For Tony Elliott’s Virginia Football Team

The Virginia football team begins preseason training camp Wednesday in Charlottesville with one month to prepare for the season opener. UVA heads to Nashville for a noon kickoff against Tennessee on Saturday, Sept. 2. The home opener follows one week later against JMU.

Before the games, begin, however, the Cavaliers will dial in for camp to ready for the second season of the Tony Elliott era. These preseason practices will feature two new coaches with Adam Mims stepping in with the receivers and Terry Heffernan working with the offensive line. Plus, there are plenty of other new faces as transfers and freshmen join the mix.

The preseason predictions aren’t high on Virginia with ACC media picking the program last in the 14-team conference. So that’s one big question for the Hoos this season – can they beat the prognostications? Let’s look at five other questions with preseason camp on deck.
