The Virginia football team continues to frustrate its followers with its 8-game losing streak and an uncanny ability to lose ball games due to second half collapses. The Hoos, who have the grades to match an 0-5 start, have now been outscored 105-48 in the second half this season, including 53-14 in the fourth quarter.
After ending the first half against Boston College with a 21-7 lead, the Eagles outscored UVA 20-3 to comeback for a 27-24 win. To add insult to injury, the 14-point halftime deficit and comeback for the win was the largest by the Eagles since Sept. 13, 1997, against West Virginia.
