After winning back-to-back games, the Virginia football team nearly made it three in a row. Playing on the road at Miami, UVA led in the fourth quarter and overtime, but eventually fell 29-26 on Saturday.

The loss dropped the Hoos to 2-6 on the season. With the home stretch on deck, Virginia will host three home games at Scott Stadium sandwiched around a Thursday night trip to Louisville in November.
