After a bye week and two road games, the Virginia football team finally returns to Scott Stadium this Saturday to take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Miami was not as fun of a trip as North Carolina. For the second straight year, the Wahoos and the Canes went to overtime, and once again, Virginia could not secure the win. Fans shouldn’t be totally upset as the Cavaliers showed fight and were even leading in the second half.

Georgia Tech, meanwhile, will be coming to Charlottesville with a lot of confidence following its own win over North Carolina. The Yellow Jackets are 4-4 on the season, exhibiting a really prolific offense with tons of speed. Coach Tony Elliott picked up his first ACC win last year when his team took the trip down to Atlanta and defeated Georgia tech. He’ll be hoping for similar results this Saturday.

With four games remaining, it seems unlikely that Virginia will make a bowl game, needing to win out to do so. While that is disappointing, the last few games have shown glimpses of a much improved team and fans should feel excited about the potential this roster has. The schedule doesn’t get any easier unfortunately, and that starts with a reinvigorated Georgia Tech team. Let’s learn more about it.
