The Virginia football team could not get a win in its return to Scott Stadium, falling 45- 17 to a tough Georgia Tech team that was able to find a lot of success in the running game. The Cavaliers do not have much time to dwell on the unfortunate outcome, though, as they head to the state of Kentucky to take on the Louisville Cardinals.

First year coach Jeff Brohm has got the Louisville program trending in the right direction. The Cardinals are currently 8-1, and sit in second place in the ACC. For Louisville, defense is the name of the game and it seems the Cardinals’ get stronger and stronger as the season continues. Over the past two weeks, opponents have been able to score just a combined 3 points. A strong defensive front will present some challenges for the Cavaliers.

It’s not an easy turnaround for Virginia. In the final road game of the season, the Hoos are hoping to build on some of the success they had in Chapel Hill and Miami. It seems unlikely that Virginia will be very competitive in this matchup so an upset would be unexpected. Let’s learn why.
