Evan Marcus is in his third year as UVa’s strength coach.

Al Groh & Co. have landed a bunch of big recruits over the past three years. The frequent late-night visitors to the Waffle House have secured signatures from the likes of Ahmad Brooks , Kai Parham, Michael Johnson, D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Philip Brown and Chris Long .

But Groh’s biggest recruit as Virginia’s head coach, literally and figuratively, may have been former New Orleans Saints assistant strength and conditioning coach Evan Marcus.

Whether you’re talking to a Cavalier player or coach, one thing is apparent: Marcus rocks. And we’re not talking about the Metallica blaring from the McCue Center weight room.
