Lalich Focused On Improving

When Peter Lalich joined the Virginia football program last fall, no one was really sure of what to expect out of his true freshman year. Redshirt? Back-up quarterback? Split duty? The first of those questions was answered immediately when he trotted on to the field in Wyoming, while the splitting time vs. back-up debate carried on for a few more weeks. In the end, however, Lalich served as the back-up quarterback, seeing time in eight games.

Fast forward to the spring. Jameel Sewell , the team’s starting quarterback in the fall, is not enrolled at UVa due to academic problems. Lalich appears to be the logical front-runner for the top spot. He’s not making any assumptions.
