Virginia football keeps on reeling in the commitments in the 2011 class. Today, Petersburg (VA) athlete Kevin Green became commitment number 14 for UVa, which has secured six commitments this month alone.

Green, the son of former Virginia fullback Kevin Morgan, started at quarterback and linebacker last season as a junior. The 6-2, 205-pound prospect guided the Crimson Wave to a 6-6 overall record that included a berth in the Division 5, Central Region championship.

A second-team all-Central district selection as a Utility player and as a linebacker, Green threw for 2,199 yards and 27 touchdowns and rushed for 15 more scores on the year. He was also a Richmond Times-Dispatch honorable mention all-metro selection as a Utility player.

A 2-sport athlete, Green is a starting guard for Petersburg’s 2009/2010 Central Region champion varsity basketball squad. He averaged just under 10 points per game in helping Petersburg to a 29-1 overall record and an appearance in the Group AAA state championship game, where the Wave lost to an I.C. Norcom squad that features another Virginia football commit in Kameron Mack .
