The Virginia men’s basketball team ripped off a historic run in the ACC last season, posting 17 wins in the regular season and an undefeated run in the ACC Tournament. That resulted in a title sweep and an incredible 20-1 overall record against league competition. Virginia became the first team to go 9-0 in ACC road games last season as well.
The Hoos now know what the follow-up season will look like. The ACC announced the pairings for the 2018-2019 season on Tuesday, though dates and times will be released at a later date. UVA drew Duke and Notre Dame as home-and-home opponents in this cycle, while retaining the rivalry home-and-home games with partners Louisville and Virginia Tech. The Cavaliers face Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Wake Forest in home games only and travel to Boston College, Clemson, North Carolina, NC State, and Syracuse.
Virginia has won three ACC Regular Season Championships and two ACC Tournament titles under coach Tony Bennett. The Hoos have posted winning a winning record in conference play for seven straight seasons with at least 11 wins in each of the last six seasons. Beginning with the 2013-14 season, UVA owns a 73-17 mark in regular season league play.

Some other scheduling news already trickled out as well. CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein Tweeted this weekend that Virginia will host William & Mary as part of its non-conference schedule next season.
UVA also announced in March that it would play in the 2018 Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas. The other seven teams that will play three games during the Thanksgiving holiday event from Nov. 21-23 are Florida, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Butler, Stanford, Dayton and Middle Tennessee State. Matchups will be announced at a later date.
Thank you, Kris. Very informative and interesting.
