An inside linebacker in Roxbury's 4-4 base defense, Beal racked up 140 tackles including 11 sacks as a junior in the 2006 season. He tallied 120 tackles and six sacks his sophomore season.
Beal transferred to Liberty High School in PA for his senior season.
Beal's father, Craig, played football for Boston College.
Former head coach Cosmo Larusso: "There a couple things college coaches keep saying about him. First of all, he really plays downhill. Everything he hits goes backwards. Also, he's a legit 6-3, 235 pounds, and he has the speed to go sideline to sideline."
