Marquel Thomas

Notes: Thomas earned second-team all-Tidewater honors at defensive back for his performance his junior season, which was his first in high school football. Thomas made 10 interceptions from the cornerback spot in 2006.

Head coach Darnell Moore: “Marquel started for me at corner. He is a legit 6-3 kid who can play corner. He had 10 interceptions last year. It was only his first year playing football. As the season progress, we got him in at wide receiver. He probably runs a sub-4.5 in the 40. He’s really fast and he showed great hands. He caught eight passes and had three touchdown receptions, all over 50 yards.”
