Hampton (VA) star quarterback Tyrod Taylor visited both Virginia Tech and Virginia over the past two weekends – first to Virginia Tech for its spring game on April 15th and then to Virginia on the 22nd for its spring game. According to his father Rodney, Tyrod enjoyed both experiences and both in-state programs appear in serious contention for the all-state performer.

Taylor was the primary quarterback target in attendance at Virginia Tech’s game, while UVa was also entertaining West Springfield star Peter Lalich . UVa has offered both Lalich and Taylor while Virginia Tech has only offered Taylor.

“UVa had Lalich there too, so they tried to show both a lot of interest and they did I think,” Rodney Taylor said. “Virginia Tech made it clear that Tyrod is the only quarterback they want.”
