Virginia has scored its third commitment on the weekend and the fourth in a week’s time. Today, 5-11, 192-pound DeMatha Catholic (Hyattsville, MD) defensive back Kyrrel Latimer pledged to the Hoos over an offer from New Mexico and interest from Maryland and Pitt, among others.
Latimer had originally planned to visit Virginia yesterday for its “Future Wahoo Day” but moved the visit back one day in order to participate with his team in a Prince George County 7-on-7 tournament yesterday.
“He went to Virginia today,” DeMatha Catholic head coach Bill McGregor said. “He met with Coach Groh this morning around 11. He told him on the visit that he wanted to commit and then he called and told me.
